I am now a Colorado resident. After my freshman year here at Fort Lewis College, I have gone to Track, Cyclo-cross, and Road Nationals, and i had the time of my life. Never have i been able to race for and with a team, and this Fort Lewis Cycling Team is a lot of fun.
At Road Nationals over May 8th-10th, it was m
y birthday, May 9th. And it was a great experience. This whole year has been quite the experience. But i loved it. Coming out of Juniors, into the Collegiate was a great transition. Always racing with myself, i really enjoyed helping my teammates make it to the finish line and watching them work for me as well.
Nationals was a great experience, as was Track nationals. Our women's team is really close. WE all get along great, and its awesome to be on a team with a bunch of girls that just love to race their bikes.
This year has been a trip. Between coming to college, leaving for track every weekend, trying to figure
out where all my classes were, and living in the dorms. It was an experience i will forever cherish. I am really excited to be getting out of the dorms and living in town next year, but for now, i am living in Dolores Colorado, the base of the United States Women's Cycling Development Program (USWCDP).
Without the help of the USWCDP, i would not be living in Colorado this summer. Coming from Alexandria Minnesota, i am really excited to be living somewhere else. Colorado is one of the most beautiful places i have been in my life.
I am excited for what is to come. This summer is going to be exciting to see what becomes of me on the mountains. I am really looking forward to racing on the track and getting more riding in.
